Mitchel completed undergrad in 2004 and holds a B.S. in Environmental Science/Biology, and is currently perusing a Master's degree in Public Health at the UCHC. Before joining EH&S in 2004 he worked with the CT Dep't of Environmental Protection on the Long Island Sound Study and also spent time on Superfund sites with a private remediation company. Mitchel's responsibilities include training faculty, staff, and students on OSHA's Lab Standard, conducting annual lab inspections, evaluating chemical fume hoods, and hazardous waste management.
